10 Epic Moments Of 2019.

General Feature

1. Cheri Amour

A sweetheart table for a couple of long-time, high school sweethearts who traded the hustle and bustle of Sydney for a weekend escape in Tasmania.

This luxurious set- up took place on an intimate beach of Tasmania; nestled against and contrasted by the rugged sandstone cliffs and hanging vines; all whilst overlooking the clear blue ocean views.

The key elements and intentional use of the bright and bold colour clash, using only dried and preserved flora made for a unique statement piece fit for any Queen and King.

2. Rose And Red Wine

If this 7.4m grazing feast is not enough to entice and feed the eyes, then how about a Rosé and Red Wine colour scheme to tempt your soul instead?

This fully decked out Hen’s Soiree filled with blooms, cheese and all of Holly’s nearest and dearest made for an incredible experience at their weekend AirBnb stay.

Add this to a beautiful tropical backyard and you have yourself and ULTIMATE soiree.

Yes- we set up in homes and AirBnb’s!
Yes, we even set up in the rain!
And, HELL YES; it is always totally worth it!

3. Hazards

They don’t call it the Hazards for no reason.

This EPIC proposal set against the granite, orthoclase and pink felspar mountains and the blue calm waters of Honeymoon Bay; and on this sunny day, could not have made for a more perfect day.

These two lovebirds flew down from Melbourne and we are happy to report that she was so SURPRISED and over the moon.

And YES, I may of ugly cried #whatsnew ?

4. Dark Matter

This private industrial studio space was converted into a dark and moody birthday soiree consisting of numerous breakout areas, a photo wall and a deconstructed grazing feast.

Our luxurious and deconstructed take on this grazing feast notably was the Crème de la crème and of the highest quality; and featured only the very best of Tasmania’s cheeses including; Coal River Farm, King Island and one of our ultimate faves- the Grandvewe.

Add some crimson red pincushions and roses for a colour explosion; and pair it with a backdrop and moody and you have yourself one hell of a part.

5. For the Wild And Untamed

If I had to choose one photo that summed up HONEYFIG as a brand- it’s this one!

A memorable 3-day shoot on an island, off an island in glorious Tasmania working with some of the BEST vendors that this little island has to offer-we were able to create magic like this.

Promoting a micro-wedding setup with bold monarchy orange + complimenting pops of apricot dominated this tablescape, but it is this couple that really stole the show.

A natural flair for fun, good times and sparks of chemistry flying left, right and center; it was easy for Amanda to rock the sparkly Yvonne Gown and Verdessa Fairy Crown like the total boss Queen that she is.

6. Whimsical

A juxtaposition of two lovers; soft and sensual paired with strong and bold. We wanted this shoot to be stripped back- less bells and whistles with a on our beautiful and real couple and those drop dead gorgeous florals.

If you want to talk about someone who absolutely nails and exceeds the concept, then Sophie at Whimsy Florist is your girl.

Inspired by Australian natives, used in a non-traditional way and you named it, over-sized.

Both ladies adorn a Pasaduchas Jumpsuit from Bohemian Store, Wanderlust Trading Co in Hobart and the gorgeous flying whimsical veil from Luxe Wedding.

7. The Minimalist

Less is more.

Simone and Aaron are probably the coolest couple and people we have met and their wedding day was no exception.

And that we also happened to third wheel their Honeymoon in Singapore for a day on our way through to Sri Lanka for our family vacay #thanksnewfriends.

This pair flew from Mt. Isa to get their gear off for a Nude Solstice Wedding as part of Dark Mofo’s yearly event. Their morning ceremony was held at Long Beach with their awesome celebrant Tim Grimsey and their best friends who joined along for the ride.

This entire crew (including their celebrant) post-ceremony got their gear off and dived in for the Solstice Swim; embracing Tassie’s cold winter waters and their new journey in life.

Following their chosen minimalist theme, the pair had their micro-wedding reception at Battery Point Hall. Their reception had a floating flower installation comprised of fresh and dried olive foliage and cotton created by our freakishly amazing friend + floral designer Ali from The Floral Criteria.

8. Sentiment & Symbolic

I still must pinch myself that we get to share in so many amazing love stories and the sentimental values in each wedding or event.

Jos and Michael’s love story is one of healing, overcoming hurt and trusting again.

Their conflict free and ethically sourced rings was chosen intentionally and further represents their personal values too.

“We wanted something unique, made by hand; using nothing but hand tools. We chose an emerald as our wedding band stone, because it’s the stone of healing and successful love’ (Words shared by Joselynn).

Check our previous “Instagram Story” for their full love story.

9. Pines & Ferns

I’m not kidding when I say, we get to work with some of the best vendors in Tasmania. Carena from Queen of Crowns and bridal designer Ebony from Aquarius Bespoke are no exception.

Add in moody bridal shoot in the pines with our beautiful model Dennise Aliste and resident photographer from Weddings BY THE WILDE and you get yourself this kind of magic.

Dennise wears a floral crown entirely made from bracken ferns.

The bridal gown is perfect for the sustainable and ethically minded bride; made entirely from Ebony’s Nan’s vintage curtains. The repurposed and recycled materials are absolutely stunning and further maintain the intricate details; really making this shoot a piece of art.

10. The Genie

Behold, our Genie.

The perfect Arabian Style Tent hosts a lot of our HONEYFIG events. She is glorious and elevates every event whether it be a proposal, micro-wedding or elopement.

Especially if adorned against any of Tasmania’s rugged and wild landscape.

This setup was for a gorgeous birthday girl at her private property and the specific requests included our stunning Genie and for the colour pink to be the hero.

And you can bet your sweet little ass, we made this happen!
